If you believe communism is better than capitalism, why do you think the countries in the world follow capitalism instead of communism? You mentioned competition is bad but think about it again. If there is no competition people will be the same. Their life, their knowledge will be all the same and there would be no improvement among the society. For example, because Britain was capitalism, and people competed each other, the economy of Britain could grow faster. The competition can make the ‘best’. And that improved Britain during Industrial revolution. The competition can make the society move forward and in capitalism, we support that competitions.

Most of the countries in the world follow democratic capitalism. There must be some benefits to the society when people want capitalism and the government goes with that system. There are several advantages and I will discuss 3 major topics; built on Democracy, economic growth, and happiness.

Democracy is the greatest thing about capitalism. It is also related to the equality among people. Everyone gets 1 vote, and that shows the equal power politically. Their race, political view or gender doesn’t matter in voting. In Britain, legislation has allowed the prisoners to vote. Though they are in jail because of their crime, but the government agreed that they are equal as citizen.

The capitalism allows the economy to grow. The more money a company makes, the more it can invest in production, and the more it invests in production, the more money it can make. In capitalism, the government does not involve in personal economic company. For an example, European countries supported individual investment and that allowed Europe to grow during industrial revolution. The government only supports the investment for economic growth of whole nation.

Happiness is very important to the citizens. Happiness only comes when there is freedom and when they feel they are part of the society. The happiness maps published by scholars from the University of Leicester, capitalist countries are the happiest in the world. This is because they feel free in the society and satisfy their life with only necessary rules upon them.
